Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

FROM THE DESK OF FATHER JACOB LIVECCHI
YOUR PRIEST IN RESIDENCE AT EPIPHANY OF THE LORD PARISH

Hello All,

My name is Fr. Jacob Livecchi, I go by Fr. Jay or Fr. Jacob. I was just newly ordained and look forward to getting to know you better and being a part of your community for the summer. Some of you might remember me from last summer, I lived here with Fr. Eric while I worked at the Hospital. As I get settled in, please do not hesitate to say hi or reintroduce yourself.

I want to share a little about myself so you can know me better, I was born in Toledo and grew up in the Eastside until my family moved to Oregon. My home parish is St. Ignatius. I grew up in a very Catholic home and I am from a large family of ten kids (I am number five). I was homeschooled all the way through high school. I went to the University of Toledo for one year and studied visual arts. I then entered college seminary at the Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, I finished up my senior year of college at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit.

After college seminary, I entered major seminary and studied theology at the Pontifical North American College in Rome. I enjoy art, baseball, football, hiking, and hanging out with my family. I am a fan of the Mudhens and Detroit. I also am a big fan of Ohio State football.

While the plan is that I am here only for the summer before I return to Rome to finish a degree in Dogmatic theology, I am very grateful to be assigned here at Epiphany of the Lord Parish. To me, it feels kinda like coming back home to my roots as a child when I lived on the Eastside. I ask for your patience as I am still very new as a priest and figuring things out. I look forward to meeting you I ask that you keep me in your prayers and be assured of my prayers for all of you. I look forward to meeting you all so please feel free to come up say hi or reintroduce yourself.

In Christ,
Fr. Jay
