3rd Sunday of Advent
Dear Epiphany Family,
I hope and pray that your Advent has not been too hectic or busy. I know there are often early Christmas gatherings and people can also be stressed with Christmas shopping and other Christmas preparations. It is so important for all of us to do whatever we can to slow down, take a breath, and just be and speak with Jesus in prayer. At the heart of all these activities we should strive to prepare for and recognize God’s coming into the world in the flesh in the person of Jesus, as well as His coming into our lives now and when He comes again. He invites us to welcome Him into our hearts and experience His peace.
Our Facilities and Mission Task Force met on Wednesday, November 30th, to review the parish-wide September 18th meeting, the final report from RCM architects, and to plan next steps. This was the first Task Force meeting since the parish-wide meeting as we were waiting for the final report from RCM before we came back together. Please save the date of Sunday, January 29th for another parish-wide/”town hall” Facilities and Mission meeting at Cardinal Stritch (this time in the cafeteria) from 2-4pm, doors opening at 1:30 and meeting starting promptly at 2:00. There will be more of the story of our process and facilities shared, time for discussion among parishioners, and a narrowed down look and survey of possible options (based on feedback/survey of options from the September meeting) moving forward. Please continue to pray for our parish and process that the Holy Spirit will guide us in being living stones to better share and reveal the Living Stone of Jesus to all.
In Christ,
Father Eric
