The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process by which someone who is at the age of reason (7 years all the way through adulthood) is invited to prepare for Full Initiation into the Roman Catholic Church through the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and First Holy Communion. Sometimes, adults who are baptized in another Christian tradition may be invited to prepare for sacrament alongside or similarly to those in the OCIA process. Please read here (https://www.catholic.com/tract/how-to-become-a-catholic) for more clarification on the OCIA process versus Acceptance into the Catholic Church for a baptized Christian.
If you or a child in your life is in need of either of these processes, please contact our Director of Faith Formation, Shellee Murcko at smurcko@epiphanyofthelord.org.
